The Knights of Columbus held its annual Basketball Free Throw Contest for all kids ages
10 through 14 on Martin Luther King Day.These are the winners of the Free
Throw sponsored by the Raymond V. Hennessy Council at the Northampton Recreation
Center in Richboro. Forty kids attended the free event with parents, friends and knights, with 32 age eligible kids competing.
The competition was close and lively. All contestants
receive a Certificate of Participation with a jacket patch. These winners will have an opportunity to represent the Hennessy
Council at the next level of the State Championships.

On Monday, January 17, 2011, all girls and boys, ages 10 to 14, are invited to
participate in the annual Knights of Columbus Basketball Free Throw Championship, sponsored by
the Hennessy Council. The Free Throw Contest will be held at the Northampton Township Recreation
Center, Newtown-Richboro Road (Rte332), Richboro, PA, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM. All contestants will be presented with both a Certificate
of Participation and a jacket patch. A contestant’s eligibility is determined by his/her age on January 1, 2011. The
boys and girls who win in each age bracket will receive a trophy and will have an opportunity to represent the Hennessy Council
at the District level competition in February, 2011. Entry forms can be completed on the day of the event and will be available
at the gym on the day of the competition. Pre-registration is NOT REQUIRED. All contestants will need the signature of a parent
or designated adult to confirm age eligibility and to give permission to participate. Participation is FREE! Entry is FREE!
